Happy New Year Everyone!
This past Christmas I planned to knit a sweater for myself. I decided on the Betty and Judy Lodge Sweater pattern, which was designed by Amy Appel of PoisonGrrl Knits. The yarn I picked for this project was LionBrand Yarn in Claret (Pound of Love), White (Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling), and Forrest Green Heather (Wool-Ease Solids).
I cast on right after Thanksgiving, but the hustle and bustle of the holiday season soon forced me to put this project to the side. I didn’t get back to working on my sweater until the Sunday right before Christmas.
With only 4 days to work with, I strapped on my wrist protectors and knit on turbo speed. I didn’t finish until well into my Christmas celebration at my parents’ house. But, the sweater turned out lovely and I’m so pleased with my finished object.
The following are my sweater modifications:
1. I used size 5mm 24” circular needles as my larger needles and size 4mm 24” circular needles as my smaller needles (suggested needles were size 8mm and 7mm), and
2. I decided on short sleeves instead of the long sleeves that were suggested in the pattern.
What was the last project that you completed in 2019?
